Hope Matters
Hey, Hope Buddies. Dropping in with a few lines. All I know is I’m learning some things through this process called grief. Here are a few of them:
I experience it differently for different things and people.
I’m learning to recognize it, allow it, and move through it.
I don’t have to pretend to be okay when I’m not
Sadness and joy can exist at the same time in the same body.
Week before last my creative spark waned. Last week, the spark was there, but the energy to sit down and process all I was thinking was put toward other areas and pulling my thoughts together around the topic seemed like too much. So, I'm showing up here with a couple of sentences today. I’m showing up to say, for me, grief has come in waves and is manifesting itself in ways I’ve never experienced
Hope Buddies, it’s okay to grieve. Recognize it, allow it, and move through it healthily. For me, this looks like continuing to make good choices for my body, mind, and spirit despite my feelings, including allowing rest. My friends, I encourage you to do the same.
In the meantime, I’m taking my time and hope to meet you here again Thursday.
Coffee Matters
Coffee Buddies, I actually filmed a video for you that I didn’t have the energy to edit. In honor of the words above, I’ll see you soon.
Feel free to share what you are hoping and sipping this week or even some ways you deal with grief.
I appreciate you taking the time to read this hopeletter about my life and coffee. Please share with a friend who could use a little hope or coffee recommendation.
