Hope Matters
Hey, Hope Buddies!
I’ve missed y’all, and I’ve missed writing. Well, September 1st is my Hope & Coffee anniversary. My goal is to give you a mini hopeletter each remaining day of this week. So, you might get sick of these emails and postings, but it’s only for a week. I will not keep this up long term. 😆 So, let’s jump in, shall we?
I’ve had this habit of saying, “I’ve got to make time to do…” Well, here’s the problem with that. I can’t make time. I have all the time I’ve ever been given up to this point, and it’s up to me what I’ll do with the rest. At this point you might be rolling your eyes and grumbling, “I know. I know.”
If I’m writing for no one else today, I’m writing for me. I’ve got to change my language. Since I recognize I can’t make time, what I can do is take or set aside time.
I often feel as if I’m not doing enough of what matters to me, like writing this hopeletter consistently. 🤦🏾♀️ So Hope Buddies, as I move through the rest of 2024, I am committed to taking the time I need for what matters to me.
💜,
Parthenia
What are you taking time to do?
Coffee Matters
Coffee Buddies, I’ve been to New Orleans! Okay, so it’s not my first time, considering I live in the South. However, it’s always a good time. There’s something about that place that just revives my artist spirit. And unlike times past, I found some coffee things to get into. 😁
On one of my morning walks, I ran across Gospel Coffee and Boozy Treats (What a name, right?!).
Of course, I took time to go by one morning before my day became consumed with meetings. Because it was so early and my day was packed from front to back, I didn’t taste any of the boozy treats; I stuck with the gospel coffee (not officially the name of the coffee).
I ordered an Americano, and the coffee was wonderful! It was so much more enjoyable, because I was joined by an enthusiastic friend, who was just as intrigued as I was. For me, coffee is best enjoyed with either morning quiet or enthusiastic conversation.
What are you sipping today? Are you sipping alone or with a friend?
I appreciate you taking the time to read this hopeletter about my life and coffee. Please share with a friend who could use a little hope or coffee recommendation.
