Notes from a Balcony
Hey, Hope Buddies! Here’s an inside look at the randomness that comes to me when I’m relaxed and decide to pull out a writing utensil to jot things down.
Welp, I don’t have vacation nails. I intended them to be so cute and colorful, because…Mexico.
I’m grateful for the rushing river outside this condo. 🤔 Maybe I need one of those waterfall thingies at home and work. This water is sparking my creativity.
Now, I’m thinking about creativity and all the things that stifle it. (deep sigh)
I need more creative moments.
What does resting (truly) look like at home?
On each vacation, I discover a bit more of the person I desire to be.
Good news! My “Black Girl” iron will be there when I get back. These fibroids ain’t nobody’s friend.
Perimenopause just gon’ show up how it wants to. The itching along with no longer tolerating foolishness is multiplying. Notice I did not simply say increasing.
How wealthy am I? Physically, mentally, financially? I’m mostly physically well; I regularly see my therapist; and I can afford to live. When I think of how different this all could be based on my history, I’m wealthier than I could have imagined. Thank You, Lord! 🙏🏾

Sip of that Week
I had decent coffee, but most notably, the margaritas from the upstairs poolside bar were the highlight beverage of this trip.
I’m definitely interested in your random thoughts. What’s been floating around in your mind lately?

Hey P! I woke up to this lovely journal entry of yours in my inbox. I appreciated you writing that you're on vacay and it's giving you time to slow down and feel creative. That's a great feeling! ...How you're thinking about what resting really looks like at home. How the things you love will be waiting for you at home. And how in more ways than one, you are wealthier than you could have imagined. A simple, inspiring and beautiful post written in your own voice. I love it. Have a wonderful week!
